About The Goods Shed

The Goods Shed is far more than a restaurant; it is also a farmers market that has been showcasing local produce and fine foods from an array of independent suppliers since 2002.

You’ll find a veg stall, a butchery and the only independent fishmonger in Canterbury. Our stalls are bursting with artisanal British cheeses, breads baked on-site, fresh pasta, charcuterie and speciality ingredients. We sell fine wines from independent importers and offer the largest number of British bottled beers in the South East of England.

Background

The Goods Shed opened in 2002 as a daily farmers market with onsite restaurant using the local market produce. Its continuing success along with other home grown outlets has contributed to supermarkets stocking more British produce. The 'food hall’ reaches further afield to stock a fuller, more complete shop . This in turn has lead to a greater turnover of fresh local produce and more British Cottage industries exposed to the consumer.

Product Description

Browse our produce or tuck into a sumptuous lunch – we bring the traditional market together with casual dining to create a unique experience. From rustic pies and gourmet sandwiches to cocktails and small plates, you can enjoy the flavours and atmosphere of The Goods Shed in a laid-back market setting.
