Gusbourne Estate |
We planted Gusbourne’s first vineyards in 2004 and made our debut vintage wines just a few years later. These early wines were the start of something special – a journey into our unique Kent and Sussex terroir, and discovering the incredible grapes we can grow here.
We grow the highest quality Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes across the Gusbourne Estate, with 60 hectares in Appledore, Kent and 30 hectares next to the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex. These predominantly Burgundian clones yield smaller volumes of intensely flavourful fruit, which thrive in our unique microclimates. This exceptional produce is the vital first ingredient in making our award-winning sparkling wines, all crafted using the traditional method.
Our debut vintages – Brut Reserve 2006 and Blanc de Blancs 2006 – were released in 2010 to critical acclaim, earning accolades from the world’s most exacting wine critics. Gusbourne sparkling and still wines continue to win prestigious national and international industry awards every year.
We use predominantly Burgundian clones to grow our Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes – the three classic sparkling wine varieties.
CHARDONNAY GUINEVERE Elegant and complex, this citrus-driven still Chardonnay is one of our most awarded wines. It was named "top still wine" by Wine GB earlier this year
BLANC DE BLANCS is our signature sparkling. We select our finest parcels of Chardonnay for this age-worthy wine. It's the perfect choice for a sophisticated celebration.
BLANC DE NOIRS is characteristically red-fruit driven and precise. It enjoys extended lees ageing to develop its complexity and depth.
ROSÉ Our distinctive English Rosé is a sparkling for all seasons. It's characteristically complex, combining red-fruit flavours with spice, minerality and balanced acidity. It's incredibly versatile when it comes to food matching.
BRUT RESERVE is our best-selling wine. It's a crowd-pleasing choice for a festive party or seasonal celebrations.
FIFTY ONE DEGREES NORTH Our most exclusive vintage wine to date and a truly wonderful expression of time and place. So much so, we took its name from the precise latitude of our vineyards: Fifty One Degrees North.
